1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use and End User License Agreement ("EULA") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Movy ("we", "us", or "our") concerning your access to and use of the Movy mobile application and associated online services hosted on https://movy-c2e8a.web.app.

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Movy, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all terms, you must discontinue use and uninstall the application immediately.

2. Scope of License (Standard Apple EULA)

We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and execute the Movy mobile application on compatible Apple iOS/iPadOS devices that you own or control, strictly in accordance with Apple's App Store Terms of Service and Usage Rules.

This license does not allow you to use the application on any device that you do not own or control, and you may not distribute or make the application available over a network where it could be used by multiple devices simultaneously.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

The Movy name, brand insignia, three-peak origami cinema ribbon logo mark, user interface layouts, visual styling, color palette, trivia game algorithms, and original code are proprietary assets protected by copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

All third-party trademarks, movie titles, theatrical posters, still frames, and studio logos displayed within the application are the property of their respective copyright owners and are utilized under fair use and certified metadata licensing provisions.

4. Informational Catalog Nature (Non-Hosting Notice)

All metadata, cast lists, plot outlines, and promotional artwork are retrieved dynamically via licensed third-party APIs, primarily The Movie Database (TMDb). Movy provides zero file sharing, peer-to-peer downloading, or pirated stream playback.

5. Theatrical Box Office Portals & Showtimes

Movy provides links and redirection to official third-party cinema operators (e.g., AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Cinemark, Odeon, BFI, TCL Chinese Theatre).

• Movy is not an official ticket broker, vendor, or box office agent.
• Ticket pricing, seat reservations, theater amenities, cancellation policies, and refund processing are managed exclusively by the respective cinema vendor.
• We make reasonable efforts to display accurate screening times and formats (e.g., IMAX 70mm, Dolby Cinema, 35mm), but theatrical schedules may change without prior notice.

6. Streaming Availability & Partner Links

Streaming provider badges (e.g., Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Max, Disney+) indicate where titles are legally offered for subscription streaming, rent, or purchase in your designated region.

Licensing agreements between streaming networks and film distributors shift constantly. Movy does not guarantee perpetual availability of any title on any third-party platform.

7. User Conduct & Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the application.
• Use automated scrapers, bots, or extraction scripts to harvest metadata, showtimes, or quiz databases.
• Circumvent or disable any security features, DRM protections, or rate-limiting protocols.
• Use the application for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties ("As-Is")

THE APPLICATION AND ITS CONTENTS ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY OF SHOWTIME DATA, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL MOVY, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE APPLICATION, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MISSED THEATRICAL SCREENINGS, ERRONEOUS STREAMING CATALOG ENTRIES, OR TECHNICAL DISRUPTIONS.

10. Governing Law & Contact Information

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws of your jurisdiction of residence, without regard to conflict of law principles.
